Fourth of July!

We had so much fun for the Fourth! I didn't get the chance to take pictures of everything, but here are a few. Brenden and I got up around 630 so he could eat and get dressed before we walked to Porter Park for the parade. Brenden and I met up with our friends, Mike and Melanie at their place around 8:45 and we walked to the park. We got there a few minutes after 9:00. We got a spot along the road and set out a huge blanket and some camping chairs. We played some Phase 10 as we waited for the parade to start. The parade started a little after 10:00. Brenden had just barely fell asleep. The parade had a lot of sirens and horns and Brenden slept through the whole entire thing! I couldn't believe it. I just couldn't believe with everything going on that he could just sleep through it all. My favorite part of the parade is the local grocery store, Broulim's has this gigantic grocery cart that comes through that is powered by a go cart underneath the whole cart. It was pretty cool.

After the parade Brenden and I went with Mike and Melanie and Sharla to Jimmy Johns. If you've never been, its really good food. I thought that it was really expensive, but it's really not and its so good! Yummy in my tummy!

Brenden and I then walked to our friend's Hollie and Lawrence house for a BBQ. It was a lot of fun. I don't think that we had been over to their house since Christmas. They've had a lot of flooding going on that's been pretty horrible. We got to catch up  and have some yummy food that was pretty good. I was sad to have to leave early. I had to walk home with Brenden and feed him and get him down for a nap.

So now the real fun comes! The real fun comes when Chris finally got off of work. It really stinks that he has to work every single holiday. I don't like it at all if you can't already tell. Brenden and I went with Mike and Melanie to pick Chris up from work. We stopped at the grocery store so Chris could change out of work clothes and grab some ice for the cooler. And off the Freeman park we went. Mike and Melanie were pretty excited to go to Freeman Park with the Freeman's. Ha ha. Funny, right? I didn't even think about it until that day. We set up our blankets and camping chairs along the river and had a little picnic. It was fun. We played a lot of games together. Okay, we only played Sorry and the most EPIC game of Fluxx EVER! We had the Original, Zombie Fluxx, and Monty Python Fluxx. Boy did it take forever, but it was a ton of fun. We played Sorry right before the fireworks started. We really like to play Sorry with Mike and Melanie. Mostly because everyone really is out for number one and totally ruthless.

So, here are a few pictures of our night.

Brenden when we first get to Freeman Park.

We have such a happy little baby.

He's been rolling over for a few weeks now, so here's a picture of the beginning of a roll.

Brenden and his mommy at Freeman Park.

Brenden loves his mommy so much.

Brenden tries to get away, but he can't get away from me.

Brenden loves tummy kisses. It just makes him laugh. Maybe it tickles?

And there he laughs.

He's a great baby, he's always so happy. I'm so blessed.

He's beginning to be such a ham. :P

Nom. Such yummy fingers.

Brenden playing with Melanie.

He really just loves her. Now if only they had a baby. Ha.

Brenden playing with Mike. Some days Brenden isn't quite sure about Mike. But at least he wasn't too scared of him that night.

Poor little baby fell asleep. Nice little nap before the fireworks started. Which by the way, he slept through all of the fireworks too.

Chris feeding his baby.

Our game of Sorry before fireworks.

The fireworks in Idaho Falls were so great! We didn't even have time to light out own. Maybe for our Christmas in July party. We shall see.
