Day 7

Your wedding.

Best day of my life! What? Yes, it's almost true. I've had a lot of great days in my life, this on definitely hits the top 5! So here we go with another story...

Chris and I decided to get married in the Las Vegas, Nevada Temple. And no, Elvis does not get to marry you. As bad as it sounds, it was a little sad, but it was great. We decided to get married in Vegas because 1. we knew that someone would have to travel no matter what, 2. No one in my family is a member so it really didn't matter where we got married, no one would be able to come anyways, and 3. Chris served his mission in Las Vegas and it was a bit of nostalgia for him.

Chris and I flew into Vegas on the afternoon the day before our wedding. Chris' parents picked us up from the airport along with his little brother, Josh. Chris and I picked up our rental car and headed down to the marriage licensing place. Man was that place ever busy. But surprisingly enough it took us longer to get to the office than it did to stand in line. Never drive on the strip, ever! We got out marriage license and headed to the hotel to meet up with Chris' family for dinner and a show.

Okay, now for the actual wedding day! Lets see how much of it I can remember. I remember having a total leisurely morning. We woke up and went downstairs to have breakfast in the hotel lounge. It was nice having a hotel room all to myself. This day that ended, forever. Sad. But Happy. So we had some breakfast and got ready for the day. Chris' mom and I took off so I could go and get my hair and make up done. Fabulous place! The people there were so nice and they had couches and refreshments not only for me, but my mother-in-law to be. They offered us cake, this place was a dream come true. By the time my hair and make up was done and we got back to the hotel it was time to pack up and get ourselves to the temple.

After the temple, we had pictures taken for what seemed like forever. I'm not kidding even a little bit. We got out of the temple around 5 and I swear it felt like we were taking pictures until almost 7. Rediculous, right? And that day it just happened to be 115 degrees outside! This seatteite was not a fan, not a fan at all. I had this great idea to take my shoes off for the last bit of pictures, BIG MISTAKE! My feet we so burnt and sore for the rest of the week.

We said our goodbyes to family and drove off in our wedding garb to the hotel of our choosing, the Bellagio! Best hotel ever.
